A New Beginning!
The enthusiastic response from the dance in June last year, has further encouraged us to pursue the goal of developing a "Next Generation" Melbourne Mytilenian fellowship.
We are all aware of the hard work and financial contributions that all of our parents have committed over the years, their dream, and their goal to create the fellowship that exists today.
You will all agree, we have all been brought up to be proud of our Mytilenian heritage and the importance of maintaining this tradition and sense of belonging.
It is time, we, "the next generation" start to think about honouring these goals. We often discuss, among us, that when we do find ourselves in Mytilenian surroundings, there is definitely a type of ‘comfort’ we feel, a sense of belonging, just like an extended family.
We need this, guys, for us today, for us tomorrow, and to encourage and instil in our children, the same sense of patriotism, in being Mytilenian, just like our parents have, with us. We owe it to our parents, to ourselves and to our children.
We encourage you to talk about what type of activities would interest us today, in order to facilitate and form a younger generation Mytilenian fellowship.
We have total support, commitment and encouragement of the senior committee of Pallesviaki Enosis.
Please take the time to think seriously about this idea, and we ask that you also take the time to either, make contact with other Mytilenians and invite them to participate in this initiative or let us know their contact details and we can send them an invite.
